Trip Choice Scorecard

Compare your destination ideas using the priorities that matter to you.

Choose your kind of somewhere.

Set your own priorities

Importance: 0 = ignore, 5 = very important. Rate each option 1–5 below; higher is always better. A low cost or short journey should receive a HIGH rating.

2–5 options. These are your ratings, not live destination research.

All options need comparable ratings. For budget and travel time, higher ratings mean more affordable and shorter/easier journeys. No cost or time data is fetched. At least one importance must be above zero.

A decision aid, not a destination verdict.

No autosave. Rebuild after changing inputs.

Behind the result

No mystery in the method.

Each option’s score = sum of importance × rating ÷ sum of importance. Ratings range from 1 to 5; higher is always better. Percentage = score ÷ 5 × 100. Exact ties keep input order. Scores reflect your subjective inputs only.

Before you go

Are these objective rankings?

No. Your ratings and priorities determine the result. Important considerations may be missing.

How do I rate cost?

Give the more affordable option a higher budget rating. The tool accepts ratings, not price amounts.

What happens in a tie?

Tied options share the same calculated score and retain your input order. No hidden tie-breaker is applied.
